Father, you know there is a lot of sickness going on out in blogland right now.
Some of us get to feeling lonely and forgotten during times of illness.
Please touch and heal us and remind us of how much you love.

I'm a people watcher- an observer.
( Does that mean I'm nosey?)
While visiting my grandchildren this month, I had the opportunity to observe the people in their apartment complex.
So many different types of people live there.
They come and they go.
Some stay- a lot.
They stop at each other's doors.
They sit in each other's door ways.
They play together.
And they are all so different yet they all are in each other's lives.
Oh, I would imagine there's some stories of irritation that could be told!
Tales of stretching and growing are probably being written on a daily basis, as all these different ones interact and learn from one another.
But it was a reminder to me of God's creativity with all living things.
There is not just one type of person that has some imaginary stamp of God's approval!
He loves us all.
He made us all.
And we're all special.
Let's just remember that every one is different.

In my journey, I have experienced so much deliverence!
This morning, I'm thinking about freedom from judging others.
It used to be that I would often look or listen to someone and then claim that they were *falling away* from God, were not *right* with God or they didn't simply didn't know Him at all.
Now I look at my own life with a critical eye and I wonder....
How would I have judged me if I were looking at me right now?
Did that makes sense? ;>
I would probably say that I was too frivolous, too isolated, AND deceived.
I remember once hotly declaring that I would "never be content!"
and that I would always want more!
I saw contentment as lukewarmness.
I felt like I should always be striving, pressing, fighting and agonizing over some spiritual grief.
And those who weren't?
Well... They were missing it.
Oh, I'm so glad that God loved me back then.
It helps me to love others now.
Here's to deliverance!!!

Do you long to know the truth?
Well I have good news!
The Truth is a person and His name is Jesus!
You can spend a life time sweating over doctrine and trying to come to a knowledge of the truth or you can know The Truth now!
Just ask Him to make Himself real to you.
It's a whole lot of fun!

Why is it that we often fall into the trap of comparing our lives to others?
We might think like this:
"Her best friend lives next door to her, but my best friend *doesn't* live next door to me, therefore she has a better life than mine!"
(Never mind the fact that *she* has had multiple health problems since birth and has probably suffered more than you ever will.)
Or maybe it's her husband that makes her life seem so enviable?
(Forget about the fact that she's already lost both her parents and she suffered cruel abuse as a child.)
What is it that looks so much better than what we have?
Discontentment is a robber!
Let's accept who we are and what the Lord has given us.
God accepts us.
Let's accept ourselves.
You my friend, are a wonderful person!
You're one of a kind and full of wonderful ways.
We don't need her life!
We need OURS.
(Let's have fun celebrating it, too!)

Are you convinced of God's love?
Do you think that He loves you, BUT...
No! He loves you, PERIOD.
He loves you.
He loves you.
He loves you.
Please believe it.
It's amazing how everything seems to fall into place when we are convinced of His love.
It's then even easier to love others, too.

It is SO not fun to try to open a door that's stuck.
It brings a lot of frustration and exhaustion.
Open doors are a lot more fun!
They swing right open and lead you into what ever is next.
A sense of purpose fills your heart as you take those forward steps and look around you...
If you're trying to force your way through a door that seems stuck or perhaps just a little rusty, I want to encourage you to step back.
We often think that every "worthy" door should allow us admittance but the Lord knows which doors to lead us through.
He knows what you need.
I hope you are blessed with freedom of movement today.

Your heads are hanging too low my friends!
Lift up your heads!
Feeling guilty and condemned only slows you down.
His cleansing is thorough, complete and lasting.
Receive it and believe it!

I arrived home at 3:00 AM this morning!
I had a wonderful trip that was sprinkled with little miracles of love,
provision and joy!
There's no place like home!
Thanks to all who prayed for sleep.
It was pretty crazy for a few nights but sleep finally came.
There's just nothing that can compare to the healing power of sleep!
Well, I've missed being on the blogs and I look forward to fellowshipping with you all once again.

I probably will not have computer access while I am gone so there will not be any new posts until I'm snuggled back into my nest. Also, if you leave a comment, I probably won't be able to respond until I return.
Please pray that I will be able to relax and sleep while I'm away from home. I will miss all the inhabitants of the land of Blog!

Do you hear yourself saying things like this:
"I know I should, but I don't."
Well, I say, Down With The Shoulds!
My friend, SHOULD can become a terribly heavy burden!
Jesus wants you to walk in freedom.
Let's leave the shoulds up to Him.

Or do you only know about Him?
He wants us to know Him.
He wants us to have a relationship with Him.
Is He your delight?
If your Christian life revolves around a list of "do's" and "don'ts' and looking to see whether you measure up or not, you are missing out on so much!
He knows you.
He knows the very number of hairs on your head.
He knows your thoughts and everything you've ever done.
But there's another level of knowing that He wants each and every one of us to enter into.
He wants us to willingly let Him know us.
He wants us to yield to Him and be one with Him, that He might live through us.
He wants to commune with us and fill us.

Are you hurting?
Are you being persecuted without cause?
I'm so sorry if you are hurting.
May our Father pour in the oil and the wine into your aching heart and bind up all your wounds. You are loved.
Hear the words of our Lord...
~Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the son of man's sake.
~Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
~Woe unto you when all men shall speak well of you!
~But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
If praying for your persecutors proves difficult, ask the Lord to love through you. Stephen's ability to pray for his persecutors at his stoning did not come through some virtue of his own. It came because of his being full of God's Spirit. We can forgive those who have hurt us too, if we let Him love through us. Jesus also asked the Father to forgive those who crucified Him. And the Father answered that prayer.
Be healed in Jesus' name!

(Please note that all the wonderful photos on this blog were taken by others across the internet but that I am not one of them! :>)
Oooh! I have such a gorgeous color tour planned for this month! It's difficult to choose which pictures to post.
I love October...
Morning walks become invigorating and even our animals liven up their steps.
I am finally able to fire up my wood cook stove and pretend I'm camping in my very own kitchen. AND my Birthday is October 3rd and I love Birthdays! ;>
This Oct. is especially exciting because I will be flying to Idaho to see my grown sons and 3 grandchildren! We'll be staying for over a week!
Thank you, Lord!
Do to the fact that I will be busy preparing and gone for part of the month, I don't know how often I will be able to post. Some older posts might make a second appearance in order to fill the void. With those factors in mind, I thought this would be a good month to try formatting my posts like most bloggers do. This month when you click on this blog, the newest entry will be at the very top.
I hope to post every day until I leave on my trip and let you know when I leave and return.
I love reading your comments! They make my day. I love meeting new people from all over the USA and the whole world! If you are a regular reader, please tell me so by comment or e mail. I appreciate your encouragement so much!
The Lord Loves you and so do I!
