September- Good By Summer

(Please note that all the wonderful photos on this blog were taken by others across the internet but that I am not one of them! :>)

Welcome! and thank you for visiting the September issue of To know Him More!
This is my opening post for the month.
New posts will be placed below this one as the month progresses.
If any of you readers think it would be best for me to change this format,
please give me some feed back.

Here is my little farewell to Summer:

Good by Summer!
I've enjoyed you for the fist time in a long time!
You didn't make me cry even once!
What a miracle from God...

I think miracles can be small, don't you?

As Summer eases into Autumn, I pray that you will find that His load is easy and light and that you will come to know Him more.

Love,

Holly

Hi, Holly! I like this bit from a hymn that has been my favorite for years. I have written it in the sand on a beautiful beach and breathed it aloud on the top of Half Dome, Yosemite:

"From the best bliss which earth imparts
We turn unfilled to Thee again."

Hi there, Cheryl!

Something tells me you are a hopeful romantic!

Oh yes Toni! She delivered Hayden and was my midwife, did she deliver your boys?

Holly said...

Hi, Misty!

I wondered if you used Toni. Yes, she delivered my last boy, Micah. It's the only labor and delivery I can look back on with fondness. I was at 2 of Leslie's births with Toni also. She's so great! She has a way of making everyone feel so special and she really let's you have your own way with your labor and delivery... I really miss her!

Hope you can help Leslie rest! I've always wanted that for her.

I'll paste this over to your blog, too in case you don't see this.

Hi, Ruthie

I'm glad you came by here! I didn't know if the C&I dishes were still in the antique shops or not... I never get into those but I sure can't find them at the thift shops any more! I know one lady who recently picked some up for a really good deal at a garage sale though! I think it pays to keep your eyes open.

Have a wonderfilled day, Ruthie!

Good morning, Jo-Anne and you're welcome!

That is a lovely picture isn't it? I thought it captured the last hours of Summer quite well.

I wish you a beautiful week too, Jo- Anne. Your art work makes the world more beautiful for us and I hope you feel just as beautiful on the inside.
